Description: Richly figured Australian cedar is the defining feature of this beautiful chiffonier, with wonderful depth of colour across the broad top, drawer front and two panelled cupboard doors. The natural grain of the cedar is particularly striking across the door panels and gives the piece considerable character.
A particularly noteworthy feature is the extensive use of cedar throughout the construction. The backboards, internal shelf and base are all cedar rather than secondary timbers, reflecting the quality of materials used in the piece.
The lower cabinet features a single full-width drawer above two panelled cupboard doors, providing generous concealed storage. Inside, a cedar shelf provides practical organisation. Turned columns flank the cupboard doors, while the deep moulded drawer surround and restrained architectural detailing give the chiffonier a beautifully balanced appearance.
Above, the raised back is constructed from broad cedar panels with a shaped pediment and turned side supports. The open shelf provides additional display space while showcasing even more of the warm cedar grain.
Combining quality construction, excellent storage and an abundance of beautiful Australian cedar, this is a piece that can command attention in a dining room, entrance hall or living room while remaining extremely practical.
