Description: An impressive antique Australian cedar church pew featuring a long solid timber seat and open-panelled back, complemented by substantial shaped end supports. Each end is decorated with carved Gothic quatrefoil motifs, giving the pew a distinctive ecclesiastical character. The warm cedar grain and aged surface retain the character expected of an original piece of church furniture.
With its generous proportions, this substantial pew makes a striking architectural furniture piece for a large entrance, hallway, covered verandah or commercial interior. The simple construction, rich cedar tones and decorative Gothic detailing give it considerable presence while retaining its original utilitarian character.
At the time of listing, two identical church pews are available. They are being sold separately, and the price shown is for one pew only.
