The pedestal terminates in a shaped platform base raised on four scrolling feet with castors, allowing the table to be moved easily when required. The rich mahogany timber and restrained detailing give the piece the understated elegance associated with traditional English furniture.
Originally designed as a work or sewing table, its compact proportions make it particularly versatile today as a hall table, lamp table, bedside table or occasional table. A lovely piece that adds genuine antique character without requiring much space.
