Description: A substantial antique English mahogany chest of drawers with a wonderfully rich colour and attractive figuring throughout the timber. The simple traditional design allows the character and grain of the mahogany to really stand out.
The chest has an unusual and very practical arrangement, with one long, shallow drawer across the top, two smaller drawers beneath, and three full-width drawers that graduate in height towards the base. This provides a good combination of shallow and deeper storage.
Each drawer is finished with turned timber handles and key escutcheons, while the drawer fronts are framed with fine moulded detailing. The chest is finished with a substantial moulded plinth base, giving it a strong, well-proportioned appearance.
A particularly useful antique chest with generous storage, suitable for a bedroom, dressing room or wherever additional drawer storage is needed.
