Description: Offering both character and versatility, this antique English walnut table has a wonderfully practical form that works particularly well in today's interiors. The warm walnut finish and restrained architectural detailing give it an elegant appearance, while the generous proportions provide plenty of usable surface and storage space.
The rectangular top features a fine inset border and moulded edge, supported above a generous lower shelf by fluted column supports. The lower tier provides excellent open storage or display space, while the turned feet and detailed column bases add visual interest without making the piece overly ornate.
Although traditionally an occasional or side table, its broad top and sturdy construction also make it an excellent option for supporting a television, particularly for someone wanting to avoid a modern entertainment unit. The open lower shelf provides useful space for associated equipment, books or decorative pieces.
Two small marks on the top are visible on inspection and do not detract much from the overall appearance.
A versatile piece of antique English walnut furniture that combines traditional quality with a function that can adapt particularly well to a contemporary home.
