Description This finely woven piece was was made to Commemorate the 1952 Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and you will see the Crown with Elizabeth II depicted on it. It is richly decorated with the Insignia, Heraldry and the Historic symbolism and Crest. The Rampant lions, the white roses, the dragons and other significant decorative design all signify the people of Scotland, England and Wales. If you study the Queen's coffin lying in state you will see all the same insignia on the flag, in which, Her Majesty's coffin was draped. The rug was previously owned and enjoyed by Jill Phillips, a leading Antiques Dealer in Brisbane and before her and antiques dealer in London who moved to Australia just after the 1956 Olympic games.
