Description: This antique English William IV library bookcase is crafted in richly figured mahogany and displays the refined proportions and quality associated with the period. The façade is enhanced by striking spiral turned columns, while the beautifully figured mahogany panelled cupboard doors frame the open library shelving, creating a balanced and highly practical design.
The bookcase offers an abundance of storage with enclosed cupboards at each end, fixed open shelving on either side of the central section and an adjustable central bookcase, making it suitable for books, decorative objects and collections.
The left-hand cupboard contains two shelves with internal heights of 15 cm, 17 cm and 74 cm from top to bottom. The adjoining open shelving has four shelves with internal heights of 15 cm, 18 cm, 21 cm, 23 cm and 26 cm. The central section features adjustable shelving to accommodate books and display items of varying heights. To the right of the centre are four further shelves with internal heights of 15 cm, 18 cm, 21 cm, 23 cm and 26 cm, while the right-hand cupboard provides matching shelf heights of 15 cm, 18 cm, 21 cm, 23 cm and 26 cm.
