Description: A fine Australian cedar chest of drawers by noted Sydney colonial cabinet maker Andrew Lenehan. This well-crafted piece features an applied decorative pattern to the central drawer, cotton reel columns, brass escutcheons and sturdy bun feet. The original brass maker’s label remains fixed to the chest, and the internal timbers are redwood, typical of Lenehan’s workshop. A beautifully made colonial chest with desirable proportions and classic detailing.
